Suzie Sale

Youth Worker at St. Andrew's Church

We are pleased to announce our new youth worker is Suzie Sale.

Suzie introduced herself by saying " I have been a Christian for almost 15 years and was baptised at Green Lane Baptist Church in Walsall on Easter Sunday in 2002, where I spent 10 happy years. After moving to Sedgley, I began attending St Andrew’s Church and became a member in 2015 ".

As a Youth & Family Worker, I get the opportunity to work with all ages, in various groups. On Sunday mornings, I run a Youth Bible group for young people of secondary school age, where we have discussions about Bible passages and other relevant topics. We also have a group for younger children of primary school age, who enjoy various activities run by our other dedicated Junior Church staff. Two Sunday evenings a month, I organise a social night for 11-15 year olds, involving games, crafts and food.

We hold ‘Messy Church’ once a month, which is an event for families to come and hear a bible story, take part in different fun activities and enjoy some food together, in an informal setting.

I am a member of ‘Open the Book’ and we take dramatised Bible stories into the Queen Victoria Primary School on a regular basis. We also put on interactive Christmas and Easter events for the same school.

I believe that children and young people can have a relationship with God through Jesus and feel that it is important to let them know how precious they are to Him and the church family.
